Vickers Oils at APM 2024, Singapore
On the 13th-15th of March 2024, Vickers Oils exhibited at the 18th edition of APM in Singapore. Previously exhibiting at APM in 2018, we looked forward to showcasing our marine range whilst forming new connections and seeing familiar faces. The event was an overall success featuring 710 exhibitors and 150 industry speakers worldwide. An unprecedented number of 15,717 people attended, surpassing previous editions of the event.
This years theme was ‘Future of Vessels. Solutions for Tomorrow’ heavily focusing on topics such as sustainability and automation. Vickers Oils commitment to sustainability is integral to the business and with increasing efforts and goals, some of which have already been achieved, we were excited to share these with visitors whilst discussing our EAL and BIO marine ranges.
‘The exhibition proved successful with a high number of attendees, it was great to be representing Vickers Oils at APM after 6 years.’ , said Paul Vann, managing director.
Vickers Oils occupied an excellent position at the event in Hall A which helped with footfall. The stand featured two open sides complimented by an iconic ‘V’ which proved impactful. The design was bright, airy and creative which provided an inviting space.
Once again, a big thank you to anyone who visited our stand and our agents in Singapore, JOPCA Marine, whom we have a great relationship with.

Women in Manufacturing – Vickers Oils celebrates International Womens Day
To celebrate Women in Manufacturing and International Women’s Day 2024, Vickers Oils decided to create a piece highlighting the women in their team, the roles they play at Vickers Oils and what they enjoy doing outside of work.
Mary Randall Vickers was the first woman entrepreneur in the Vickers family, having been left a widow running a business whilst raising 8 children. In 1819, Mary Vickers & Son was established, one of the few businesses headed by a woman. This was hugely unheard of for a woman living in that era. Benjamin Randall Vickers was then inspired by his mother Mary to found Vickers Oils, the business we know and love today. Without Mary’s perseverance, we wouldn’t be where we are today.
We believe that as a business rooted in deep history and the inspiring story of Mary and her entrepreneurial spirit, women in our business should be celebrated.
We are proud that 50% of our R&D, QC and Technical teams consist of women with a woman being in every department making it an even split throughout the company, all of whom provide valuable contributions to our business.
Watch the video below to meet some of the women working in the Vickers Oils team!

...and why is it important when looking for sustainable products?
In a world where sustainability is a primary concern, it is important for consumers to be able to distinguish between which products available on the market contribute positively towards the environment and which don’t.
