What is the VIDA?
For over 150 years, Vickers Oils has been a pioneer in the marine lubricants industry. In 2002, they made history by launching the world’s first biodegradable sterntube lubricant, HYDROX BIO. Today, they continue to set the standard with a proactive approach to the Vessel Incidental Discharge Act (VIDA).
University of Leeds student tour
During December 2023, we had students from the University of Leeds on site at Airedale Mills in Leeds to take part in a tour of our manufacturing site and laboratory.
This event took place after our success at the University of Leeds careers fair in November 2023. We were delighted at the turnout and the amount of people who are interested in beginning their careers within the lubrication and manufacturing industries. Overall, the event was a huge success, and we hope to explore this further in 2024/2025.
