Celebrating and honouring the milestone: Peter Vickers’ retirement

In March 2025, Peter Vickers – 6^th generation of the family to run the business retired after 42 years service in the company. In May 2025, a family and friends event was held to celebrate his retirement and long tenure at Vickers Oils.

Unfolded over the weekend, the celebrations began with the Annual General Meeting on Friday 9^th May 2025. Over 250 guests came together on Saturday, 10^th May 2025, for a Friends and Family Fun Day. Vickers family, partners, friends, and Vickers Oils employees with their families joined in the festivities. The event had been carefully kept a surprise for Peter, creating a heartfelt and unforgettable day to celebrate such an important milestone in the history of Vickers Oils.

Friends, family and employees had the opportunity to meet, chat and enjoy the day together reinforcing a sense of community and the company value, ‘People Matter.’

Following retirement, Peter Vickers has taken on the role of Archivist and Historian as we approach the businesses 200 year anniversary in 2028.
